Has the BBC been biased?

There have been a number of programmes on television recently covering assisted suicide. For example, the Dimbleby Lecture, Panorama, Inside Out to last night's Holby City.
The BBC has been accused of bias in the way the subject has been covered. Should we just be celebrating the fact so much open debate is being generated? Or has the BBC a case to answer?
